Uffizi Gallery In any discussion of museums about art, the name Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy is bound to be included. The original collections were started by the Medici family over four centuries ago. This long history has given the gallery a wide selection of Italian masters.
The names that continually come to mind include Caravaggio and his painting The Head of Medusa. There is also the famous painting of the Holy Family with the child St. John by Michelangelo. Also, we have the painting, Madonna of the Goldfinch by Raphael. I could go on and on with the list of renowned painters. Salvador Dali Art Museum

The movement known as Surrealism has been around in one form or another since about the 1920s.
